چکیده
The study was carried out at Zonal Agricultural Research Station, Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra, University of Sciences, Bengaluru with maize as the test crop. GKVK is located in Eastern Dry Zone Karnataka situated 12° 58’ north latitude and 77° 35’ east longitude an altitude 930 m above mean sea level, annual rain fall 950 mm. Field experiment established using three levels Ca (0, 200 & 400 kg ha_1), two Mg (0 60 ha_1) foliar spray boron 0.5 %) combined to give 12 treatments. Results showed that soil pH, exch.Ca, base saturation increased application calcium magnesium. While exch. Aluminium content decreased due Mg. uptake all nutrients by increasing nutrient elements. There synergistic effect among them when either only were applied together or together. different combinations Ca-Mg-B significantly influenced yield components maize. highest recorded from Ca, B kg, 550 g ha-1 respectively. lowest control plot (Ca0-Mg0-B0).

The aim of the present investigation was to study the growth, yield and yield components of maize (Zea mays L.) single cross 704 under different levels of irrigation, plant density, and ethephon in southern Iran where this particular crop has not yet been studied in detail. A field experiment was performed in the 2004 5 growing season at the experimental farm of the College of Agriculture, Shir...
متن کاملResin-Extractable Phosphorus, Vanadium, Calcium and Magnesium as Factors in Maize (Zea mays L.) Yield
Resin extraction of soil permits evaluation of ratios of readily extracted elements and correlation of concentrations obtained with crop yield. This information provides guidance on potential genotype selection and fertility management. Two hybrids of maize (Zea mays L.), designated 2292 and 3895, were grown annually in rotational succession on a 3.2-ha site with soybean (Glycine max L.) and wh...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.) yield and aflatoxin accumulation responses to exogenous glycinebetaine application
Exogenously applied glycinebetaine (GB) accumulates at high levels in maize (Zea mays L.). Under water deficit and high temperature conditions GB application produces yield benefits. These sub-optimum conditions often result in high levels of aflatoxin accumulation which reduces grain quality. A 3-year (2008, 2009 and 2010) field experiment was conducted to determine the effects of GB on ma...
